It Takes a Village - Dinner & Concert
Join us on Thursday, September 17th for a special evening benefiting WAAG!
It will be an evening of fun, great food and live music at Norse Hall - all in support of the animals in our community! Featuring catering by Chef Kat Ploszaj and live music from Skamokawa Swamp Opera and Kent M. Smith. See their bios below.
Our theme is "It Takes a Village". We see our community come together again and again to support each other and take care of pets in need. Come to enjoy a night out together while raising funds to help WAAG continue its mission. We're grateful for all we've accomplished this year and looking ahead at what's to come.

Singer-songwriter, Kent M. Smith, has established a niche; from nostalgic to catchy, creepy to caring, Kent blends soul and indie rock in a way that is both wholly original and somehow familiar.
Skamokawa Swamp Opera is an eclectic folk band from Wahkiakum County, Washington. All four members are vocalists and multi-instrumentalists, using varied combinations of cello, guitar, banjo, harmonica, mandocello, percussion, mandolin, and melodica. They draw from a wide variety of musical genres from pop to opera. Their most recent album is a collection of songs by and about the people of the lower Columbia River. They have performed at many festivals throughout the region, including Pickathon, the FisherPoets Gathering, the Scandinavian Midsummer Festival, and the Vancouver Music & Arts Festival. Their set list for the WAAG dinner will include some of their originals and some favorite songs about dogs and cats.

We’ll be at the Elochoman Farmer’s Market every Friday, from June 4 to September 10, from 3pm to 6pm.
